An Excess in Legos!
As a fan of the little colored bricks, I can imagine building my own Lego boat, while I wait till I can have a real one on a 1:1 scale!

Dear forum, I am getting an excess 14 and would like to stay away from a noisy generator. I plan to install externally regulated, alternators, and a lithium battery bank with solar panels on the roof. I was thinking of adding a secondary generator on each engine controlled by a wakespeed WS 500 speed and a victron energy installation similar as seen in this example.

Bonjour, après avoir vu plusieurs bateaux-copains rencontrer des soucis avec l'histoire d'amour entre l'eau de mer et l'urine qui donne naissance à un "conglomérat" type calcaire qui a tendance à boucher les évacuations... Je voudrais avoir le retour d'expérience des contributeurs du LAB pour faire le bon choix dans la configuration de notre prochain Excess 14. L'avantage bien sûr des toilettes à l'eau de mer est de ne pas utiliser d'eau potable...

I’ve heard it said that cruising catamarans are designed to withstand winds of 40 knots under full sail. Being lighter and faster than the majority of the competition, how does this work for Excess?

This may be a subject that does not immediately appeal to everyone. Perhaps because you only sail in very sunny and warm areas, or that the Viking blood runs through your veins?

How would an Excess 11 perform at high latitudes?

Hi, I'm new in this lab. My wife and I ordered a Excess 11 in the Netherlands. Delivery June 2024.

I noticed that the new Excess 14 has tumblehome bows.
