Electric and hybrid propulsion - Tell us what you think
Let’s go back a few months: we organized a “Live” event at the start of the year with several members of the Excess Lab to discuss the topic of hybrid and electric propulsion boats.
Hervé presented the participants with four possible hybrid configurations for the Excess 11. The options under consideration took into account four variables: speed, full electric propulsion time, extra weight, and cost.
We’d now like to know which of these four options you prefer. To do that, we’ve created a questionnaire and we’d be grateful if you’d take a moment to fill it out. It won’t take you more than 2 minutes.
Thank you in advance for your contribution, which is very important to us. Together, let’s continue designing the catamarans of the future!

in my opion, 2 x 12 kw is not enough. Think about this situation: Strong current and wind is against you, stormy weather is predicted, the next safe harbour is 30 miles away against the wind, you are just with your wife and 3 little children on board. In that case one needs power. I won`t buy a Catamaran for my family without power.
