HULL TO DECK JOINT OF THE EXCESS 13 #1

HULL TO DECK JOINT OF THE EXCESS 13 #1

The Excess shipyard in Poiré-sur-Vie invites you to witness the hull to deck joint of the #1 hull of our new model, the Excess 13.

This technical operation involves assembling the hull and the deck to give birth to the Excess 13 #1.

In this video, Emmanuel Dupuis – our project manager for the Excess 13 – explains this very important and meticulous step, which takes place in several phases:

  • Fine-tuning and adjustment
  • Application of the adhesive
  • Placement and bonding of the deck to the hull

Once completed, the assembly formed by the deck and the hull must be compressed during the curing time to allow operators to secure the rigging equipment.

Finally, the teams begin the finishing touches in the cabins and proceed with the connection of the electrical circuits.

Each step is designed to optimize the lightweight and sturdiness that define the Excess 13.

The Excess 13 #1 will be unveiled at its world premiere at the 2025 International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte. An opportunity to discover this innovative model.
