Il serait plus pratique que le traceur de cartes soit surélevé sur l'Excess 13
Il serait plus pratique que le GPS soit surélevé sur l'Excess 13, car il est difficile de faire des réglages en se penchant au-dessus du volant ou de voir le traceur en position assise. J'en ai déjà parlé à Thibault, mais les panneaux de commande du moteur doivent être mieux positionnés : ils doivent être plus visibles et accessibles lorsque le pilote automatique est en marche. Ils pourraient être placés sur le côté du poste de pilotage, ou peut-être même à côté du traceur de cartes ? La commande du guindeau pourrait également être installée à cet endroit, car elle est difficile à voir sous le traceur de cartes et au-dessus du volant.

We are very happy with the location of our chart plotter and windlass control because they plotter is easy to glance at when sailing but not too high to be a distraction - especially when navigating at night.. I agree it is a small inconvenience to reach around the helm to alter course when on autopilot. There is a solution in using the Garmin remote autopilot that comes with the yacht.
The engine panels are not ideal - especially when motoring on a passage as it is hard to see the engine temperatures and pressures.
A solution to this - which we will probably do - is to connect the Yanmars to the chart plotter so the temperatures and pressures can be monitored easily at the helm, or with Garmin Active Captain on the iPad in the cabin, or on an iPhone in the bedroom.
The factory could perhaps offer this on the options list ???
